Are you using Depth of field to bring more photorealism into your renderings? Chances are that you never knew that in most modern rendering engines, you can change the shape of your aperture for more interesting and realistic DOF, creating nice bokeh. But even then, mostly there aren´t any options on how to make the aperture shape even more realistic by adding dirt or chromatic aberration procedurally. There is one way though:
Just plug into your virtual camera one of my 95 different high-resolution aperture maps and enjoy beautiful bokeh that you would get from a real lens in photography!
I created most of the maps by looking at real-worl bokeh shapes and apertures, adding some extras like aperture shapes for Lens Baby or the Neptune Art Lens or going totally crazy with totally made up ones. This is the most comprehensive bokeh shape texture collection you can find on the net, so you have all the choices in the world to really give your renderings your individual taste!
Compatible with v-ray, corona renderer, octane, arnold, Frischluft Lenscare, DOF Pro and many more.
