Side Filters For Immortan Joe Mask
Buildplate only supports
These can be filled with a variety of filter material, strips of makeup cleaning pads, strips folded from n95 masks with a n95 top.
Alternate tops and bottoms with no vent holes so you can mix and match based on your preference and filter material needs
These fit onto the immortan joe mask stock side tubes: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3043478 at original size, you should be able to scale this to fit if you changed the size, but I have only tested it with the stock size mask, the interior hole dimension is 17.25mm and they fit onto the ends with a little sanding of the tube extensions. There is a little tolerance in these but not much as they are meant to be sanded and friction fit both to the existing mask ports and the filter cover. This allows to swap out to the hoses for the mask for those times you want them.
I have found if they come out a little big that some slight lighter heat will pinch nicely to the filter top if needed. or paint the bottom of the filter top for that fraction to get just the right friction fit you need.
I used: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:801808 for the top of the insert, as it was not symmetrical (not supposed to be) I had to play around with it and manually set the filter holes and placement in general, buildplate support is needed for the top
Multifilament printing works here for the tops, just pick the layer height you need (18 and up). print in black and change to your top colour
(My mask is currently mid painting :P and just threw a coat of white on one of the filters to show the shape) These came out really well, hopefully they will add nicely to someone's mask and usability :)
