This is my attempt to create easy adjustable footrest for IKEA Antilop high chair.
Print settings:
See the section. The files print easy also on the small printers (10x10, no heatbed).
Parts needed:
3d printed parts set
4 screws (5mm diameter) with the nuts and washers
2 pipes 28cm long (pvc hot water pipes 17mm outer and 12 inner diameter)
2 pipes 52cm long (pvc hot water pipes 17mm outer and 12 inner diameter)
Felt or rubber pieces to secure the arms on hair legs (at least 2mm thickness for each arm and clamp) (note it is required for the arms not to move on the legs)
Note: different pipes with 17mm outer diameter can be used (and at least 12mm inner diameter)
Build instruction:
Print all the parts (number of parts to be printed in file name)
Cut the pipes for the desired length
Insert 4 pipes into 2 holder parts
Secure short pipes with the 2 endings (1 for each side) - you may use hot glue and any kind of separator to hold endings in place inside the pipes
Set the width of the footrest adjusting the pipes and holders - the holders should be as nearest the hair legs as possible
insert the longer pipes endings into the arms (P and L respectively)
Secure the pipes with the 2 endings
Insert screws to the holes (you may want to insert the screw from the arm side)
Glue felt or rubber pieces inside the arm and clamp to hold the footrest on place
Secure the arms with the clamps, washer and nuts on the hair legs
NOTE: use the picture as a referene on how the parts should be adjisted and folded together.
NOTE2: Arms angles are slightly different than a straight line so the pipe stress should block them so that they do not move.
To adjust the footrest high, simply loosen the screws, move the footrest down a bit and secure back. To longer pipes should freely adjust the whole footrest to the space between the legs (tested! ;))
