IDSA Lapel Clip

This design utilizes a clip on element which contains the basics of the conference, like its year, motto, and location. Above this is the IDSA, which oversees all of this. In order for the IDSA to work many individual facets must come together. Similarly four pillars begin independently from the base, and culminate into a single group-the IDSA, which brings different elements together. The design is visually striking, and requires a closer look to fully take in. This design would not be possible with any other manufacturing process, but it is relatively simple to 3D print. In order to get it to print in many colors the filament can simply be swapped out while printing. Also it can be printed purely in white and then colored by any method, though I have had success with permanent marker. The design was made for a Makerbot style printer.
