I absolutely LOVE my Eleaf iCare Solo. I'm an ex-smoker that tried it all, but larger sub-ohm vapes didn't quite kill my cigarette cravings. This little guy can pack a lot of nicotine in a single drag.
The problem is, the coil can get flooded, and hot juice can spit up through the mouthpiece. It's the only issue I have with the thing. Instead of trying to find a replacement mouthpiece that may or may not fix this issue, I decided to make my own.
My solution is to mimic the original mouthpiece, but put a stopper down the middle. This piece has worked flawlessly in preventing hot juice from getting shot into my mouth and throat. Because of this air restrictor, you may have to hit the vape harder or longer, but personally, I haven't found it to be that noticeable.
There are two versions here. I didn't include version 1.0, since it didn't do exactly what I had intended. Version 2.0 works, and has a hole of 5.1mm for the stem. As with many small parts, it didn't print exactly to scale, and the hole was smaller by 0.5mm. I ended up having to file the hole a little more to allow the o-rings to fit. Version 2.1 has a hole of 5.5mm, and should fit better if you run into the same issue. Having the hole a little smaller than it should be isn't a bad thing. The metal stem will lightly widen the hole, allowing for a very nice seal and easy vaping.
The image shown is v2.0, and I haven't had a chance to make the bottom fit flush against the inner lip on the top of the iCare Solo. Still works, just allows more air flow. I have TPU printed hammer at home that should be enough to seat it properly.
I'll list my print settings below, but it really shouldn't matter. See the notes below for the printing headaches I encountered.
Cheers!
