There are a lot of the door opener hook designs online.
A lot of them have one or more of the following problems:
-Too bulky, waste of plastic.
-Too weak
-Uncomfortable
-Slip of door handles
I decided to use fusion 360's generative design to create the optimal hook.
One that would have a comfortable grip all whilst being light, and strong.
After 8 prototypes this is what I've come up with:
-It uses only 6g of PLA and prints in 1h.
-The hook attaches to door handles better than flatter hook designs.
-The grip is comfortable and allows for more force to be applied to the door handle without hurting your fingers.
-The grip has 4 holes to which a lanyard or key-ring can be attached.
-The slim design allows for an easy fit in your back pocket.
