This is a 100mm x 100mm VESA monitor bracket for use with HumanScale monitor arms. This bracket is to be mounted on the back of a computer monitor, then it slides into the mount on a HumanScale monitor arm.
This bracket has been designed in two parts to ease printability as well as increase strength. The diamond shaped boss on the "Monitor Bracket.stl" is designed to be press fit into the diamond shaped hole on the "MonitorNub.stl" creating a mechanical bond between the two parts which is reinforced by the 4x M3x16mm socket cap head screws. Do not over tighten the screws connecting the bracket to the monitor! Getting them "Snug" is all that is necessary. Over tightening could cause the layers to delaminate and the part to fail.
I use M4 x 14 x .7 pitch screws to mount the bracket to the back of the monitor.
Do not use this bracket unless you have installed the 4x M3x16mm socket cap head screws these screws are a critical component in the design and strength of this part.
I have mounted 6 monitors using these brackets with zero failures so far. Use good judgment, some monitors are much heavier than others and may not be a good choice for use with this mount.
