I recently purchased a hotend LED light strip from printermods: https://printermods.com/products/led-lighting-kit-for-3d-printers-hot-end-version
It works great, but its almost too bright, especially for my camera and the glass bed; on the webcam I see almost only light reflection and can barely see the part. I designed the shroud to clip onto the light and redirect the light only towards the hotend, reducing the glare on the bed.
I tried printing it with a white bottom with black sides and in all black. I think the all-black is the best, it lets you still see the area around the nozzle for watching the first layer but redirects most of the light away from the bed so that things show up better on the camera.
