This bullet feeder is designed to sit on top of a 9mm Hornady Bullet Feeder Die. Tubes are prefilled with bullets and manually rotated to a new full cylinder as the bullets are emptied into the die.
Assembly/Install:
1) I designed the fit to print with a slight interference on the die so the first time you put it on you work it back and forth and let the knurling of the die top "Hone" the bore to the exact size. Note that you might have to remove it a couple times to remove the shavings from the honing. This is a quick process and shouldn't take more than a couple minutes. Once this is done set it aside for later assembly with the tube base.
2) Cut 3/8 ID Acrylic tubes to what ever equal lengths you desire. I found 18" works well. I cut mine with a fine tooth band saw, but you can use what ever you prefer to make a clean cut. De-burr the ends of the tubes after cutting to remove sharp edges and blow them out to remove debris. Tubes can be found here- https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/126/3823/ (Clear Scratch and UV-Resistant Acrylic Round Tube, 1/8" Wall Thickness, 5/8" OD, 3/8" ID, 6 Feet Long) Part#8532K14.
3) The tube base is also an interference fit designed so that you align one tube at a time and gently tap it in with the aide of a soft tipped hammer or dead blow. No glue is needed here but would not hurt if you used a little super glue, I decided not to.
4) Once all 6 equal length tubes are in set the top tube ring on top of the tubes and hammer it down on to the tubes. This might take a little effort and you will likely need some sort of "Driver" to get it below level as far as you prefer. How far down it goes is not critical.
5) Now that all the parts are assembled bolt them together using one 1/4-20x1.75" Socket head cap screw, washer and lock nut. This hardware can be found at almost any hardware store. Menards has nice chrome plated stainless bolts which is what I opted for. Tighten the two components together until they are snug but still allow the cylinders to rotate by hand during use. Getting the washer and nut on and tightened inside the tube is a little bit tricky but not impossible. especially with a long extension.
6) Fill with your favorite bullets, slide on die, enjoy.
