Honu / Turtle charm by AustinDavid

I got a wood turtle necklace in Honolulu a long time ago, and almost-that-long-ago it inspired me to cut a similar shape out of wood. With Florence bearing down on the east coast I had some idle time, and decided to try modeling an updated design.
The turtle.stl is a mostly-direct translation of my first idea for a cut-out version: notice it's a closed shape with no holes. I then thought about what it should actually look like if it were sized to be a necklace, with a little more "3D" to it, and came up with the 1" Honu.
It should be amazingly simple to print. The bottom is a little flat / edges are sharp for jewelry, but I'm postprocessing enough that it will round them off for me.
I hope you like it!
I've spent a lot of time and money figuring out how to make awesome small parts like these. If you're so inclined, check out my shop on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AustinsKeychains
Any proceeds go right back into this hobby :)
