This design for a Honda Elite 250 trip reset button (1987-88 model years) was created from scratch. It is a replacement for Honda part number 37220-KM1-009. These buttons can be hard to find, so they are a good candidate for 3D printing.
Since the part is quite small, you will want to print at a resolution of 100um. Even then, it won't look as smooth as the original part.
We printed in ABS for a more weather resistant part; however, printing high resolution ABS can be tricky. We found the best results when we printed four parts at a time and put them near the four corners of the print bed. This gave the plastic time to cool before the next layer was printed. Without this, you may get too much heat on the small shaft and it may come out warped. If you have a hard time printing in ABS, just print some extras copies of the part in PLA and swap them out as needed.
