HISTORICAL NOTE: Class K4 submarines were a class of Royal Navy steam powered submarines designed in 1913. They were big and fast ships with the stamina and speed to operate with the battle fleet, they earned the nickname Kalamity class for being involved in many accidents. Of the 18 built, none were lost due to enemy action, but six sank in accidents. ......................................
