September 1942, Hitler already broke his pack with the soviets and attacked russia. With Stalingrad under seige, the Red Army refuses to retreat and will fight to the death for mother russia. The Nazis has taken Marmaev Kurgan, an important hill overlooking the city. With the hill under Axis control, they use it to direct air stikes on the city. About 1,000 russians died to take the hill when under intense enemy fire from the bunkers.
