Design concept:

a.In gear drive train system, i chosen worm gear, spur and straight bevel gear.
1.Worm gear provides major reduction ratio (44)
2.Spur provides 4 reduction ratio
3.straight bevel gear provides 4 reduction ratio and easy assemble.
4.total is 704 reduction ratio.

b. Standard and common parts Bearing holder are chosen, it can mostly reduce cost and avoid tolerance of assemble.

c. In the high rotation, stabilization is important between shaft and gear. D-cut shaft and socket set screw are for the stable rotation.

b.In consideration of assembly and torrorance control, i preferred mounting main structure in the back cover(blue one).

It's fun challenge to play with so many CAD Engineer.
So many creative idea here.

I had a rarely time to finish this stuff when i known this challenge.
i were trying to figure out gear system design even though i had not designed before.
Although a lot of detail can not be perfect, i still tried my best on it.
Hope you guys likes my design.

I hope i can join more activities like this, even without prize.
it has great help for enhancing ability of CAD engineer.
