I slightly modified the firmware to maximize the potential of the inductive sensor in our HIC technology machines. it requires the use of the induction sensor part number LJ12A3-4-Z/BX, which can be found on ebay for under five dollars. the wiring is the same for the metal to metal z min mod in my things profile.
Use Sli3r to adjust your offset travel, and do not set the induction sensor lower than your nozzle.
the brown wire is (+) the blue wire is (-) and the black wire goes where the old z stop goes, with the other wire to the aluminum bed( or disconnected)
this is the holder for the sensor (which i didnt make) http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1029784
