A Hermaphrodite Caliper is a very useful tool to trace parallels and find center in rods.
Print in PLA with 100% infill to get rigidity. Uses 3mm screw and to fix the needle is up to you. I made a 1mm transversal hole in a 3mm screw and inserted the needle.
