The Helmet Accelerometer warns extreme athletes of potential traumatic brain injuries.

The device records the force of impact on the users brain during a crash using an integrated accelerometer to calculate the force experienced by the users brain. If the force of impact may be enough to leave the user with a traumatic brain injury (TBI), red LEDs and a buzzer will sound alerting the user and the people surrounding. It then transcribes the data to a MicroSD card to potentially aid paramedics and for further research.

It attaches to the users helmet by clipping into a universal GoPro style adhesive mount, allowing quick and easy installation and removal of the device.

It can be used for a wide variety of activities due to its high strength and waterproof design, compact size, and it's ability to be used on any type of helmet. It also features a vivid orange underside, allowing for easier retrieval in the event it disconnects from the helmet during a crash.

The device features a split design allowing for easy assembly of the electronic components during manufacturing. The device would be printed with Polycarbonate Filament using fused deposition modelling (FDM), due to its high strength attributes required for this device.
