UPDATE 6/27/18: I have created a better version. Here is the link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2979479. The linked version is much more robust and smooth turning, so print the linked puzzle and not v1.
NOTE: This puzzle turns atrociously. When I designed it I used a Rubik's 2x2 mechanism for the core instead of the usual bandaged 3x3. I did this because I thought it would give me more space for the mechanism. In hindsight this was a very bad idea, because the Rubik's 2x2 mechanism uses small hooks that are easy to break. I will make a v2 when I have the motivation, but until then I DO NOT RECOMMEND PRINTING THIS. It is extremely loose and fragile.
My fully functional helicopter 2x2 puzzle. It combines the moves of a helicopter cube and a 2x2. The edges can turn 180 degrees, and jumble, while the faces can turn increments of 90 degrees.
To make this puzzle, print each part by the number indicated on the filename:
7 2x2 Corner
24 Center
24 Wing
8 Helicopter Corner
1 Core Part 1
1 Core Part 2
This puzzle is screwless, so can be entirely 3D printed. Stickers can be cut from the sticker template.
