Wanhao Duplicator i3 v1.0 - Use Heatbed_Strain_Relief_1-6.STL
Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2.0 & v2.1 - Use Heatbed_Strain_Relief_V2_1-2.STL
The movement of the wires soldered to the heatbed was quite large and over time they might degrade and break off.
This strain relief should reduce the movement a lot at the solder joints, prolonging the life of the wires to the headbed.
Print in PET-G or ABS;
DO NOT USE PLA, IT WILL NOT HANDLE THE TEMPERATURE!
Depending on your printer settings, you might have to clean up the gap with a file.
Additional items you'll need:
1 pcs M3 screw (Min length 10mm, Max length 18mm)
1 pcs M3 lock nut
1 pcs zip tie
IMPORTANT:
Since various filaments have different temperatures when they start to deform (not just between ABS and PET-G, but with different fillers, additives and colors), it is VERY important to check to make sure the strain relief does not deform over time.
If it does, remove it, then you are better off without this item until you have a filament that works with the temperatures of the heatbed.
