This will not only help your cool end do it's job but also keep heat from soaking and eventually warping the carriage.
It is designed to be compatible with the stock heatsink fan and rear mounted parts cooler, or FLSun i3 compatible Fang (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2239300).
