IMPORTANT NOTE
I have discontinued working on this design, because the remix by Bitsize (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2813504) is awesome.
Go download his design and print it, it works great!
2018-01-25: I haven't forgotten about this design, just been very busy with school holidays. I'll be completing and validating the design in the next week or two. The printer I'll be using it with will have a pair of Volcano hotends, so I'll make a version for both the standard heatblock and the Volcano. Maybe one will work for both, I'm not sure.. :-)
2017-12-02: beta 2 design uploaded, which has the mount positioned quite a bit lower. The first test design was never going to work, as the sensor would have been mounted way too high. I've yet to properly dimension things so there may be some more adjustments yet to come.
A bit of a Tinkercad hack job project to modify einarms' Chimera mount for the Hypercube Evolution, so that it can hold as 12mm inductive sensor.
Please note that I haven't yet printed it out, but it slices nicely in Simplify3D and its preview shows no issues with needing further supports or isolated areas. The few things I've yet to ensure are:
the probe (and its two mounting nuts) don't foul the Chimera and/or the part cooling fan
the probe doesn't foul the X endstop sensor wires, or the hotend heater/thermistor wires
the probe hole is the correct size - I've assumed 12.0mm and added 0.5mm for clearance
there's enough "meat" around the probe hole that it doesn't break easily
I expect that when assembling this, you'll need to install the probe before the Chimera hotend.
I also intend to add more mount holes so you can install the Chimera mount "backwards". Obviously not for printing, but this will let you access the rear set screws (that let you fine tune the height of each nozzle) for ensuring things are level with your bed, before re-installing the correct way around.
