If you're frustrated with your Hanafuda set like I am, allow me to help you.
This box for your flower cards holds them sideways, so there's no chance of them falling out--and even doubles as a deck holder so you can deal cards without spilling them all over the field. Simply place the inner box sideways on the table to deal them, or diagonally in the lid so half-removed cards fall back in.
The lid holds the box securely enough to withstand any manhandling, but not so securely that the box is difficult to open.
The box is 2.3 inches in size and has enough room to hold a deck of 48 cards, the instruction booklet, and one extra brand card or identifier card some decks come with. Sets with more than 2 or 3 extra cards will require resizing prior to printing.
The subtle pattern on the lid was achieved by removing a single layer from the top of the box. Printed top-down, the first layer is squashed firmly against the build plate, while the second is allowed to droop slightly for a more open texture.
