!!!! DISCLAIMER !!!!
This model has not been approved by any regulatory agency. Use it at your own risk, and only as a last resort, if you do not have any other certified protection.
The mask will require using a filter (ideally P2 or P3 filtering material). Since this is very hard to source at the moment, alternatively 2 cotton pads can be used instead. But this does not mean that they will achieve the same performance as P2 or P3 filters!
It is very important to have a airtight fit around the face and not to have any air gaps. Men are advised to shave their beards.
Also it is advised to wear protection goggles for preventing infection through the eyes, as well as disposable surgical gloves.
Try to avoid exposing to crowds or potentially infected people! This mask should not give you a sense of safety!
I made a remix from different sources as this seems to achieve the best fit as well as having a screw type filter mount which seems more robust and air-tight.
The mask can be printed from varied materials (PLA / PET-G / ABS / ASA / TPU etc.). Please check this study about the effect of 70% IPA and UV sterilization on different material types: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txrXX0CQHhU&t=1s
Dual elastic straps are recommended for better fit (rear mounts), but optionally only one strap can be used as well (using the front mounts)
As for the filter, it would be advised to use a certified P2 or P3 filter material cut to size. Myself I could not source this anywhere so I am using 2x cotton pads cut to size (with the help of the mid-grid part).
Filters should be replaced regularly especially when they get moist due to breathing. All the parts should be sterilized in 70% IPA or other biocide substances.
