This is a simple HAL 9000 setup for Cycles. The HAL9000 name plate is a text object, so it is easily editable. The lights are arrays of a single plane, so they are easy to edit. The frame is very low poly, and can be easily edited to be taller. The grating at the bottom of the frame is actually an array from a single "dot," and easily changed. HAL's "eye" is a simple texture setup as emission material, and therefore, can be easily brightened or dimmed.In short, this is setup simple enough for nearly any Blender user to play with or modify.
