A tool I designed to help set string action on electric guitars.
High is .078" bass to .062" treble
Medium is .073" bass to .057" treble
Low is .068" bass to .052" treble
Notes:
The loop on the model is there so these can be printed standing upright. Trim the loop off to use the gauge.
Instruction for use:
Slide the gauge underneath the strings on the 19th and 20th fret as shown in the picture with the thick end of the gauge under the bass strings and the thin edge under the treble strings.
Adjust the bridge until the strings just touch the top of the gauge. I do this by holding the gauge tight to the fret board and alternating between adjusting the bridge and tapping the strings against the gauge until i can feel just the slightest bit of a gap between the gauge and the string.
