Guelph River Run Centre

The River Run Centre was conceived and built by the people of Guelph for the benefit of the community. Hundreds of volunteers were involved in feasibility studies, planning the building, choosing the architect, selecting the name and staging the opening. River Run Centre was named in 1997 through a public competition that attracted 2,260 entries. Volunteers continue to play a vital role as ushers, technical assistants, tour guides, ticket takers and hosts for events.
