Guardian Robot
This is an update to the Guardian Robot to provide room for electronics. I worked with Noe and lordtron to create useful hooks in this design.

noodleyfelix Adapters to flip the leg segment orientation.
Carlos_R Adapter for a 5 mm LED. Check out his awesome build video!
Sonoranguy Modified the feet to remove the rotating claws. The rotating claws can be flimsy which this would fix.
Pyrofer Check out this improved version of the guardian leg. It no long snaps in, but looks much closer to the original.
Noe designed a new base to secure a stepper motor and switch.
Blkhawk has updated Noe's base to work with more stepper motors and is working on a leg redesign. Also check out Blkhawk's updated details which allows him to print them separately.
Changes from original Guardian Robot
Removable base and head
Pass through in the base for cables from the legs
Room for a 10 mm LED in the head
Room for a small board and battery
Room for a servo motor, I've modeled a SG90
Mounting points for additional hardware in the body (see drawing)
Mounting points for a motor arm in the head (see drawing)
I modeled a servo arm for a SG90, but I recommend you model your own using the head mounting points.
A structure needs to be built for the motor securing it to the body.

Details Separate
I've added files with the details separate to facilitate printing the hackable model with a dual extruder. The parts added are:

Details Separate, LED THRU
A modification recommended by Noe was to slice the details so that they penetrated to the interior of the body. This would allow a transparent material to be used which would allow an internal LED to shine through.
Update to Details Separate, LED THRU
I've modified the ears of the head to not use the secondary material. Printing these small details with a second material does not seem to work well.
