3D Printed Timing Belt Set
20 tooth pulleys for a GT2 x 6mm wide timing belt I designed for a printer I am working on that is going to use as many 3D printed parts as possible.
Drive Pulley
The drive pulley will fit a standard NEWA17 5mm diameter motor shaft with a 2mm flat. There is a hex nut trap for a 3mm set screw in the hub. The flange on one side of the pulley is at a 45 degree angle so it can be printed without supports.
Idler Pulley
The idler pulley utilizes 12 standard 4.5mm steel BB's for bearings. There are six BB's on each side of the pulley in an angular contact arrangement. Roller cages allow for easy assembly and for smoother rotation. There is a 45 degree flange on one side of the pulley so supports are not required when printing it or any of the other parts. You will need a 3mm hex nut and at least a 25mm long socket head cap screw but maybe even longer depending on your application.
There is also a smooth idler version as well.
I have not used the pulleys yet as the printer I'm working on won't be ready for some time. The idler pulley spins amazingly well so I don't see why they would not work. You might want to put some PTFE lube on the BB's as it should make them last longer. If you try them let me know how they work!
