This is a revision of the GoPro Hero lens-shade that comes with the 3D Robotics Solo smart drone gimbal. This is an extended version that provided additional shading without vignetting the camera FOV when using longer focal length lenses. I do not recommend using this lens shade with the stock wide-angle GoPro lens.
I installed a 4.35mm lens on my GoPro Hero 4 Black in order to eliminate the pincushion distortion that plagues the original GoPro lenses.
Lenses such as these can be purchased at Peau Productions. Also, be aware that you can purchase these lenses MUCH CHEAPER on Ebay. They are typically $10-$20 on Ebay (I paid $10.50 for mine) for what appears to be the same quality that costs $99 at Peau.
