Simple Children's Toy, cutout on a MPCNC, those are DXF files to scale to your content.
Optional, you can make an axle and cut out some wheels or cut from stock (25mm)
I belief that wood toys are great for children as they get the feel for this material early on, and later, will also use less plastics.
If you wish to paint it, make sure you use paint suitable for children, as normal paint could have solvents or pigments that are harmfull in the early development state. (DIN-EN 71-3)
Best would be finish with beeswax or linseed oil. I keep mine natural, as it it for a baby that will chew on it anyway.
If you use softer wood, it could potential help when the child has pain when the first smooths breaking out of the gum. Be weary of splinters tho! Round over all faces with sandpaper good and check the toy for splinting edges when this is the case...
