My case design for the excellent Ghettostation Antenna Tracker from KipK.
The case was inspired by the EZ Antenna Tracker / Ground Station, EZtracker Immersion RC by RcHobbysUK here on Thingiverse.
The case features:
0-135 degree Tilt Head
360 degree Pan mount (ball bearing supported)
Antenna quick change/release to allow use of multiple different antennas
ImmersionRC Duo 5800 V3, V4, Uno5800 V2 and Uno2400 Video RX mount (single mini DIN connection, lever for frequency selection)
Lawmate 2.4Ghz mount
3DR Radio Telemetry Module (900Mhz or 433 Mhz) mount on the tracking plate
Easy access Battery compartment for up to 3700mAh 4S LiPo Pack
LCD mount and holes for the 3 selection buttons
Arduino Mega 2560 Rev 3 Mounting tabs including USB connector cut out
Mounts for Battery Voltage Alarm, Power On/Off, Ground OSD Power On/Off, 4x Video out, 1x T-Style/Deans Power connector
Tripod Quickmount and additional feet for table top/car roof top positioning
Please refer to the instructions for details on the used components and links to the Software and Forum.
Updates:
21/11/2014:
updated rear case with more servo clearance to accommodate taller servos such as the GWS S125-1T/2BB Winch Servo and nut slots added for reach cover mount (the plastic wears out quite quickly if the case is opened and closed multiple times. Adding a nut solves this).
Servo spacer for GWS S125 added
31/12/2014:
ImmersionRC Duo5800 mount renamed to DUO5800_V3 in preparation for release of a mount suitable for the DUO5800 V4
4/1/2014:
Happy 2015 everyone. Mounting plate for DUO5800 V4 added. You will need to print 2 of the Duo5800_push.stl and Duo5800_lever.stl for the V4 of the DUO5800 as it has both Band and Frequency selection buttons. As I'm not the proud owner of a V4 and the design is based on drawings received from ImmersionRC, please do let me know in case changes are required once you tested it out (and also drop a note in case it works fine as is). Thanks
27/1/2015:
Turnplate updated to allow removal of the top without the need to pull the cables through before.
29/1/2015:
Added RX mounts for ImmersionRC Uno5800 V2 and Uno2400 (same mount as Uno5800) receiver and Lawmate 2.4Ghz receiver
16/2/2015:
After receiving feedback that a large part of the files failed to print in Slic3r and Cura, I believe I found an error in the scaling method I used to export the files. All files are updated and check out in 3 slicers I have tested so far. Please report back in case there are still issues.
Other changes:
Added spacers for the bearings as, depending on servo and filament used there is a gap between bearing and turnplate. Print the required thickness and insert it between the bearing mount and the rear top cover
updated the rear case to allow the use of a M4 nut for the battery door as the plastic wears out after some time.
2 versions of the rear case are not available. 1 version comes with 4 video connectors and 1 Deans connector, the other with 2 video connectors, one deans and one XT60 connector.
01/03/2015:
Added mirror version of the Uno5800 Mount in case you want to install it on the left side or have one Uno5800 on one and a Uno2400 on the other side.
29/03/2015:
Corrected Uno2400 mount added (left and right side)
11/04/2015:
added modular Antenna mounts. Allows quick change of the following Antenna types:
1) ImmersionRC 5.8 Patch (IMRC5.8_Lock.stl)
2) ImmersionRC 2.4 Patch (IMRC2.4_Lock.stl)
3) Circular Wireless 5.8 Helix (CW5.8_Lock.stl)
You will need to replace the tilt head plate with the new lock plate (Head_Lock.stl).
