When using a tripod with a point and shoot camera it is sometimes nice to be able to attach the camera to the tripod in the portrait orientation. This is especially handy of you wish to do a panoramic and get a lot of sky and ground.
This simple "L-Bracket" will allow you to do this

Added a "Nut Holder" to hold a 1/4 - 20 nut to the L-Bracket.

One more reason to use the "L" bracket is to attach your cell phone to your tripod with
a simple addition of an elastic band. See photos
