This is a track system for a Gaussian Linear Magnetic Accelerator, as shown in the picture. Use an N52 cylindrical neodymium magnet with a diameter of 1" and a width of 1/2". You will need supports inside the cylinder meant to hold the magnet (I used dissolvable supports on an Ultimaker 3 Extended).
The track pieces should click together, but I recommend hot gluing them to a plank for maximum stability.
The tubes are meant as spacers, in 1mm increments, that can be used to measure the force needed to separate the ball bearing from the magnet at various distance intervals.
