So I went to the British Museum in London with a 3D Scanner (3D Sense) and took scans of many famous ancient sculptures without permission till I was kicked out.
Took the scan and physically fixed all the gaps in the scan and recreated the missing chunks (e.g. backside of entire sculpture) using Meshmixer. I've released two printable versions. With and without support, I used support but it broke on the back, but it's probably my printer not the print itself. Generate your own supports with the other one. Also attached is the original scan if you want to try create a better version, plus an ultra high resolution version (Not printable as I didn't trim the bottom to a flat surface to keep more of the original detail).
The sculpture originates from 1st-2nd Century BC Italy. Discovered in 1588, this ancient roman sculpture depicts the mythology of Ganymede and the Eagle.
I got in trouble for this so enjoy! As it's over 2000 years old and I scanned it without permission I'm releasing it under Public Domain. Do what you want with it! However attribution would be appreciated!
