Xipher Design Slap SP: An unhinged shell design for the Gameboy Advance SP
Build Tutorial Here: https://youtu.be/yff5gHApMy0
This file set is for an SP with the charge port intact. At a later point I will add the files for a SP system that has been modded to use USB-C charging.
Select the files you will need: There are three options for the LCD shell backing called 'Top Back'.
One of these options is for the rectangular IPS kit, seen here:https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1309/0597/products/GBA-SP-IPS-KIT_Full-Blackproduct-page_720x.jpg?v=1592580674
The other option is for the larger IPS kit, seen here:https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0266/1862/6122/products/d1641380-b9aa-5b1f-b91c-6d32297ff49c_750x.jpg?v=1596157050
The last option is for the standard LCD (Beta). If you use this, let me know how it works for ya. I designed this Top Back piece using an AGS-001 screen so I would like to know if the AGS-101 fits with this part as well. If you use the original LCD, you will need to trim around the D-pad area a bit and one of the alignment teeth inside the front part of the shell; not hard at all.
Other than that as an option, you will need everything else to complete the build. These print files were designed with standard 3D printing in mind. So if you print these parts on an SLA printer, the tolerances may be off. These printed items are press fit or snug fit. Print these models with the face down to limit the use of supports and also have the best surface finish for the shell.
More info soon to follow.
