This initial design wasn't made for combat but for more usability as one of the problems with the air frame is trying to find a home for everything when used in an FPV configuration. It turns out that this design has proven to be very tough and has taken some serious beatings without braking any of the 3D printed parts.
Print all parts solid for durability, Zip ties hold the base plate to the frame. I used some thin adhesive foam on the base plate to make a really nice secure fit, you wouldn't have to use this but it makes a nice seal. 2 x nylock nuts are put into the base and then glue the Nylock covers to the base making sure that the bolt can pass through the nylock cover hole, these covers are so the nuts don't fall out when securing the top FPVgear lid to the base.
You'll need to print 2 of the VTX sides, this offers maximum protection for the Video transmitter.
Everything was put together using super glue, the FPVgear base lid has holes for all the different parts for easy quick assembly.
Any questions please ask.
