Il Game Boy è una console portatile di Nintendo prodotta e commercializzata tra il 21 aprile 1989 ed il 23 marzo 2003. Realizzato dal team Nintendo Research & Development 1, guidato da Gunpei Yokoi e Satoru Okada, venne sviluppato come successore del Game & Watch. In Italia il Game Boy è stato distribuito dalla Mattel, in seguito dalla Giochi Preziosi sotto il marchio GiG Electronics. Per esso furono realizzati diversi accessori, prodotto sia da Nintendo che da terze parti. The Game Boy is an 8-bit handheld game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. The first handheld in the Game Boy family, it was first released in Japan on April 21, 1989, then North America, three months later, and lastly in Europe, over a year later. It was designed by the same team that developed the Game & Watch and several Nintendo Entertainment System games: Satoru Okada, Gunpei Yokoi, and Nintendo Research & Development 1.
