This is a patio door spacer for FUHR door.
As far as I can tell, I can't get the spare - or instructions on how to make it - anywhere.
It's a damn nuisance!
Almost as bad as me causing a little tear in the back of my trousers today because I didn't see a piece of aluminium section sticking out into the middle of the test lab.
I digress.....
Anyway, a few years ago I moved into the headquarters of Bath Robotics. I wanted an underground volcanic lair, but my wife insisted a nice end terrace house in the cradle of Bath - Weston would suit the children's educational needs more than my need for building a giant robot army to take over the world. Anyway, part of the logic was that whilst the Volcano needed lots of work doing, this house did not, we could move straight in.
Never fall for that one guys.
I've repaired and re-decorated almost every room in the house, and now I'm trying to repair a slide and open patio door. Monster of a thing.
It used to have two of these chocks on the door (somewhere) and one fell off. I kept it to one side as I'd been intending to build my own RepRap Darwin for a good few years, then the other broke and fell off.
Then The piece got lost.
Then I moved the TV stand, and Lo! there were the dratted things.
So I picked them up and did nothing, but kept them safe.
At that point I'd bought my RepRap Mendel-esque printer but I realised I hadn't got the foggiest where these can be fitted.
Anyway. That put me off. So I never designed or printed the alternatives.
Until today.
As part of my new years resolution I am uploading one design a day to an open source community. I'm fed up of the Aluminium section mods, so I designed this.
It'll go on slicer and then get printed later today.
Does anyone know where I can get instructions for my door?
Also does anyone know where this even fits? I assume the sides, but I'm not sure.
By the way, I'm having difficulty with Slic3r, does anyone know how to ensure I get a good 100% filll on the top layer of steps for example?
PM me if you do.
Work in Progress- not printed yet.
PK2 Native Files Included.
Enjoy,
