This is latest design for our robot for FTC 2017-2018 season game "Relic Recovery". Twitter user @curiobot requested design to be posted, so here it is.
Design is based around using @Actobotics servo blocks, while pricey, they are very-very useful. Shape of grabber designed by utilizing negative shape mold that would allow to use little force to hold "Relic" figurine very securely. I will post video later with prototype demo.
2017-11-24: Adding second, less aggressive claw design, because first one if pushed hard enough towards Relic, would lock in place and HT 485HB servo did not have enough torque to release.
