From Open Ocean to Oyster Bay

Tehuamixtle, Mexico. Oriented to take advantage of ocean and bay views, we used passive solar construction, regional materials, slate walls, and a xeri-scaped green roof. Shade is created through amatl (pre-Hispanic paper) panels impregnated with resin for walls and roof. Slate walls and resin panels can completely enclose the space providing protection from the elements.
