Why you need this
Unfortunately, my new fridge could not take 2 liter bottles in the door compartment. I have to lay down the bottles, thus leaving space unused in the fridge. That's why I needed this stacking system.
Parts in the design
bottleholder_lower: use this part for storing the bottle at the bottom. You can use several of these and stack them. You need two of these per bottle.
bottleholder_upper: use this part for the bottle laying at the top of the stack. No need to use extra PLA material ;-). You'll also need two of these.
bottleholder_rod: these are used to join pairs of the bottleholder_lower and bottleholder_upper. You'll need two of these per pair.
bottleholder_join; these are optional. If you can glue apart pieces adequately, you will not need them. You'll need four of them to join the corners of the bottle holders
Additional remarks
My design is made to be used without additional hardware. However, to strengthen the design, it is possible to replace the 3D printed rod with a metal part.
The design was based on a measurement of 104 as the diameter of the 2 liter bottle. This leaves for some extra space for inserting the bottles .Check the diameter of your bottle before printing all the parts. The code, made with OpenScad, is documented and easily adjustable.
The pictures shows the design without rods inserted into the pieces. A small imperfection has also been taken out
I use a thickness of 8 for the design due to the fact that a bottle is weighing around 2 kilos.
