This file is a DXF of FRC Team 587's 2017 off season project. We wanted to know if we could design a single chassis plate that could accept any of the four available 3 CIM shifting gear boxes available through AndyMark and Vex Robotics. The answer is yes!
Furthermore, the gearboxes mount assembled meaning they can be swapped out by removing a couple screws, disconnecting a few wires and dropping out the bottom of the bot. (We had output shaft failures last year so we wanted to be able to replace them quickly should that happen again.)
Do we need that much power and speed? Probably not, but it sure is fun to have it available!
