Flesh restoration of the Right Hind Foot of Mesohippus, the Oligocene ancestor of the modern horse, based on a specimen from the White River Beds of Nebraska or Dakota.
Scanned in Dr. Franek Hasiuk's GeoFabLab (Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, Iowa State University) from a model marked "1586 Flesh Restor.".
Scan Specifications: Scanned with the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner set on "Light". A small piece of modeling clay was used to keep the specimen upright during scanning. This is visible as a small "blob" at the base of the model.
