I was too lazy to change the filament, so I just printed this breadboard in the flexible filament that was already spooled up. I also printed it top-side down because I thought the top detail would turn out better that way.
Well, as luck would have it when I put a chip in the top, the holes fit tightly around the pins and kept the chip in place even without any clips. This made me smile as I realized that there are probably some ways that this accidental discovery could be useful. Given that we have conductive filaments these days (or even just cut and/or bent wires) there are probably oodles of ways that this feature can be of some utility!
That plus this breadboard fits upside down on an Arduino UNO R3. Why not print one and give it a try? :)
