Flamm's Paraboloid

Flamm's Paraboloid has the property that distances measured within it match distances in the Schwarzschild metric (the metric of a black hole). Thus, Flamm's paraboloid is useful for visualizing the spatial curvature of the Schwarzschild metric. It is given by z=2sqrt(r_s(r-r_s)) where r is the coordinate distance to the origin and r_s is the Schwarzschild radius (i.e. the radius of the black hole).
