The flag of Gabon was adopted on 5 March 1960. The flag is composed of three horizontal bands of equal size. The colors of the bands are (from top to bottom): green, representing the rainforest of the country and the timber industry, yellow, yellow symbolizes the sun, and blue, represents the sea. The green, yellow and blue horizontal tricolor combines French and Pan-African colors. The flag originally had a smaller yellow stripe and the French tricolor in the canton. #flag #Gabon #Africa
