The Swaziland flag was adopted on 6 October 1968. It consists of five horizontal bands in blue-yellow-crimson-yellow-blue. At the center of the red band is a black and white shield with two spears (assegai) and a stick of Emasotsha warriors, adorned with feathers of the widow bird, typical of the country. The crimson red color symbolizes the battles of the past, the yellow the mineral resources and the blue the peace. The banner was used by the Swazi regiment of the English army (1941). #flag #Africa #Eswatini
