The Sky Cruiser is designed for pleasure flying and to encourage going green. This plane could be considered to be 'man powered' because of the distinctive bicycle pedals in the cockpit. Unlike most planes the Sky Cruiser gets power from the pedals. As the pilot pedals, the completely electrical engine generates electricity, which is distributed throughout the plane to its components. One minute of pedalling will generate up to 45 minutes of power. The Sky Cruiser's ACOS (Air Conditioner On Steroids) system is what makes this plane go. The air ducts on the sides of the plane's bonnet allow air to flow through the plane smoothly, through a system of tubes and pipes until it reaches the giant concealed box fan. The fan, which spins about 100 times faster than a normal fan, pushes the air trough two high pressure pipes and are instantly blasted out of the exhaust ports in the back. The outer shell is sculpted so that the air around the plane will flow smoothly with little or no problems in flight, i.e: hitting air pockets.
