A filament spool holder bearing adapter. Retaining a 608 style skate bearing (available cheaply online) which has an 8mm internal and 22 external diameter. This holder provides a quick-release style holder component which uses a friction fit for both the skate bearing and the filament spool. It has been designed for RS 200 GH style filament spools, which is the most popular style of 3D printer filament spool (52mm inner diameter).
Using an 8mm solid rod inserted into the bearing, no adhesive should be required but you can use epoxy or superglue to permanently fix the bearing to the metal rod if necessary. Alternatively you can use 8mm threaded rod and nuts/washers to the same effect.
The holder has a 10mm inner hole to accommodate less accurate 3D printers, and a wider variety of mounting options.
