Filament Guide for Wade's Extruder by Dranoweb

THIS IS A FAILED EXPERIMENT!
This was one of my earliest designs, and was designed to solve a problem that arose from incorrect construction of Wade's extruder.
I'm only leaving this here for historical purposes.
I've printed a few versions of this, but this one is NOT TESTED.
however the design is based on measurements from previous prints.
YOU WILL NEED:
2mm drill bit
Pederstool drill OR:
Some way to keep your drill perpendicular.
countersink tool OR:
large drill bit (for finishing entry hole)
As I was unable to find hobbed bolts, nor could I be bothered to print a bolt hobbing jig, I chose to use a knurling tool on my Prusa i3 extruder (wade's extruder)
The problem is now that the filament will walk off the bolt, if the bearing tensions are even a tiny bit unbalanced.
This little gadget is designed to fit between the tension bolts on a wade's extruder, with allowance for 5mm springs over the bolts as well.
This should keep the filament on track, and make loading a bit easier too. I also have a roll of ninja flex TPE filament. I'll be testing to see if this improves performance too.
This will require drilling out with a 2mm drill bit for 1.,75mm filament, 3.25 or 3.5mm drill for 3mm filament.
